Your Committee - a hardworking, dedicated team
The current committee has - in just 3 years - worked hard to raise the required funds to lay the club's 4 high quality courts, have a well laid out clubhouse installed and to lay plans to extend these facilities for the future.
We have also engaged with Tennis Ireland to fulfill the requirements for league tennis, entering a Men's and a Ladies' team in the Winter League and 4 teams in the Summer League, where the Men's 1st team won their Class in June. We have 3 mixed doubles teams playing in the current Mixed League and we hope to extend entry of teams so that all those keen to play inter-club tennis can do so.
The Committee spends a lot of time working with Karl Cooley to build up the coaching side of the club and Karl has already managed to generate tremendous interest in tennis among the youth of Ratoath as can be seen especially in the months of June & July with packed courts throughout the week as a result of his highly successful Summer Camps.
The Committee:
Mark Whitbread - Chairman - coaching liaison, Tennis Ireland & Campus Committee liaison, Community Access, Junior development, Challenge Ladder referee; site & court maintenance
Pat Flanagan - in charge of the Club's vision for the future and dealing with Meath Council; organises Club Nights
Pat O'Hare - leads on clubhouse installation & development and site improvement
Sheyi Donsunmu - Treasurer, in charge of finances/ accounts; previously a member at Westwood Leopardstown
Derek Brady - Hon Secretary and winter mini league organiser
Geraldine Davis - Membership Sec
Marcella Kelly - also involved in clubhouse and grounds development
Deborah McQueen - helping Treasurer manage existing club financial policy and monitoring ongoing finances; site security liaison
Steve Foley - captain Men's 1st teams. DLTC & Tennis Rules expert, organiser of Challenge Ladders & Club Competitions
Linda Corr - controls list of nominated clubhouse keyholders;
